Most Stroke patients underestimate the importance of time after discharge from hospital. Stroke paralyses patients. Most of their recovery happens between 1 to 6 months. To get maximum possible recovery patients really need to race against time. Most patients today living with some form of post-Stroke disabilities could have been better had they raced against time from the first day after discharge from hospital.
NO HOME-BASED THERAPY –
Some of the very useful and helpful therapies for Stroke patients are only available in clinics and hospitals. Many of these therapies have a ‘cumulative effect’ meaning that the more frequent the patients receive these therapies the better and the faster it works on their recovery. As time goes by, it becomes more and more difficult for patients to make frequent travels out of their homes for therapies. Third party help may still be needed to go out. Finances become an issue. DOES BCR-THERAPIE WORK ONLY ON STROKE PATIENTS?
No! It’s applications are wide. We have two models, one for Hospitals and a new one for homes. Now the focus is on the home model. Though the small model too has wide applications, when we look at the consumer market, Stroke patients happen to be the low hanging fruits, because they has a better fit for a purchase. For other applications patients would rather look for a clinic with the device as they don’t need to invest in one. For Stroke patients they need consecutive treatments several times per day, making it necessary to invest in a machine for personal use. The whole family may then use the other applications as well.
